The meeting was called to order by Wendy at 7:08 p.m.

Secretary's Report

The minutes of the March and April 2022 Board meetings were read in advance by Trustees.  Barbara made a motion, seconded by Wendy, that the minutes for both meetings be approved.  The motion was approved by a vote of 6-0.

Old Business

Specifications for Grounds/Landscape Maintenance – Penny made agreed-upon revisions to the draft of the specifications and presented a new draft to Trustees for further discussion. It was agreed that the description for trimming of the crape myrtle trees at the Gunn Hwy. entrance should be revised to indicate that they will be trimmed “between mid-January and mid-February each year.” Penny then proposed that the specifications be approved but not be presented to Gator Property Management for a new contract unless the terms of the  current grounds/landscape maintenance contract in effect are significantly changed. Also, the specifications will be ready for requesting proposals from other service providers, as necessary.  Penny made a motion, seconded by Barbara, that the specifications, as revised, be approved. The motion was approved by a vote of 6-0.

 

New Business

Reimbursement for Purchase of Stamps – Penny requested reimbursement of $11.60 for 20 stamps.  Wendy made a motion, seconded by Allen, that Penny be reimbursed $11.60 for stamps.  The motion was approved by a vote of 6-0.

Approval of June Budget Hearing Date/Time – Wendy made a motion, seconded by Penny, that the June budget hearing be set for 7:30 p.m. on June 14, following the monthly Board meeting.  The motion was approved by a vote of 6-0.  Barbara will prepare the advertisement for the Tampa Times Bulletin Board, which will be published on May 25 to meet the minimum 14-day advertisement period prior to the hearing.  Barbara reported that she noticed the street sign for the Northdale Recreation Center had been changed to Hooting Owls Place, so the exact address of the Center will need to be verified before the advertisement can be placed.

One or Two-Year Plan for Website Hosting by WIX – Barbara reported that she paid $168 in April for one year of WIX web hosting, which she has been doing in the past as an on-going expenditure.  However, she was informed that there is a cost savings if the web hosting fee is paid for two years instead of one.  The cost would be $274 for two years, which would be $137 per year, a $62 savings.  Penny made a motion, seconded by Wendy, that the WIX web hosting fee be paid for two years starting in 2023.  The motion was approved by a vote of 6-0.  This expenditure will be modified in the budget for next fiscal year.

 

There being no further business, Allen made a motion, seconded by Wendy, that the meeting be adjourned at 7:32 p.m. The motion was approved by a vote of 6-0.
