Old Business

FY25 Budget – Update – Penny reported that she was informed by Mary Mahoney, County Management & Budget, that the budget was approved by the Board of County Commissioners.

Certification of FY24 Financial Information in the State System – Barbara reported that the State system (LOGERx) is now available for data entry. The CPA at King & Walker has not yet entered the District’s financial information into the system, but Barbara will be informed when this occurs so certification can be completed.

Repairs to Gunn Hwy. Wall – Wendy reported that she sent an e-mail to Perry Mallory at T-3 Construction to inquire about when the District’s project can start, but she had received no response from him by the time of the meeting.

New Business

Completion of Annual Application to Use Room for Monthly Board Meetings – Penny attempted to contact Christopher Harrison at the Northdale Recreation Center to request the forms that must be completed.  He did not respond to her by the time of the meeting, so Penny will complete the forms for Wendy’s signature when they are received.

Other Business

Submission of County Code Violation Complaint – Update – Penny provided an update on the complaint she filed in December 2024 with County Code Enforcement regarding the property in Beacon Meadows where the fence is in disrepair and a swimming pool filled with plant growth is now accessible from the street.  She spoke with the Code Enforcement Officer who informed her that there was a delay in compliance by the property owner because of an insurance-related issue, but the property owner was put on notice that a hearing with the County hearing board would be scheduled, which takes two to three months. This could result in a daily fine if problems were not resolved.  This includes properly sanitizing the pool and repairing, replacing, or removing the fence, but it can be removed only if the pool is properly enclosed with a pool barrier.

Questions from Public – The Delgados presented issues that are not within the purview of the Board to resolve.  However, they were referred to County Code Enforcement and County Sheriff’s Office in order to report violations and offenses.

There being no further business, Penny made a motion, second by Steve, that the meeting be adjourned at 7:30 p.m. The motion was approved by a vote of 7-0.
