Treasurer’s Report (January 2023) (rounded to nearest dollar)

Revenue from previous month:  $1,450

Barbara remarked that the bulk of the expense for utilities was service charge, but nothing could be done about this.

Old Business

Unaudited Financial Statement – Progress Report – Barbara reported that she had not received any information from King & Walker about the District’s financial information being entered into LOGERx.   However, she expects to be notified by the end of February.

Repair/Maintenance of Gunn Hwy., Casey Rd., and Jackson Rd. Walls

  • Barbara attempted to contact Perry Mallory of T-3 Construction to request cost estimates for repairing a few badly leaning sections of the wall, including the cost of a new permit. She tried both his email address and one on the T-3 Construction website but received no response.  Wendy agreed to drive by the T-3 Construction Himes Ave. address to see if the business is still there.

  • Barbara commented that the Casey Rd. wall was looking green and may need to be pressure washed soon.  Wendy added that some patching may also need to be done.  She looked up the timeframe of when that wall had been pressure washed in the past and found that both the Casey Rd. and Gunn Hwy. walls had been pressure washed in September 2020. However, the Gunn Hwy. wall was also painted that year.  The question was posed as to whether or not Integrity Pressure Cleaning should continue to be the contractor for the work. Penny commented that Integrity has done a good job in the past and has completed the work quickly and efficiently.

  • No progress was made with respect to the Jackson Rd. wall.

  • The topic was tabled until the March Board meeting.

New Business

Pruning of Crepe Myrtles at Gunn Hwy. Entrance – Wendy reported that she emailed Jim Sears of Gator Property Management in January to remind him that he had agreed to prune the crepe myrtles one more time at no cost to the District. He replied that January was too early, so he would schedule the pruning for February.  Wendy followed up with another email in early February to remind him of the agreement, but the pruning has not yet been done. Hopefully this will be accomplished before the end of February. The crepe myrtles will be pruned every two years from this point on.

There being no further business, Wendy made a motion, seconded by Penny, that the meeting be adjourned at 7:27 p.m. The motion was approved by a vote of 6-0.
